🔎 About the Role
As a Chef de Partie, you will lead a specific kitchen section with precision and expertise, ensuring the delivery of exceptional dishes that exceed the expectations of our guests. This role is ideal for experienced culinary professionals ready to take ownership of their section in a vibrant, high-performance kitchen environment.
💼 What You’ll Do
- Take Ownership of Your Section: Lead and manage a designated kitchen section, such as sauce, grill, pastry, or cold kitchen, ensuring all dishes meet the highest standards of taste, presentation, and consistency.
- Deliver Culinary Excellence: Prepare, cook, and present dishes that reflect RIU’s commitment to exceptional quality and innovation, elevating the guest dining experience in a luxury setting.
- Collaborate on Menu Development: Work closely with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef to develop and refine menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients, global trends, and guest preferences.
- Mentor and Train Team Members: Supervise, guide, and motivate junior chefs and kitchen staff within your section, ensuring they perform to their full potential while maintaining a positive work environment.
- Ensure Operational Efficiency: Plan and execute daily tasks, including mise en place, service preparation, and plating during busy service periods, ensuring seamless operations.
- Maintain Quality Control: Conduct rigorous quality checks to ensure every dish adheres to established recipes, portion sizes, and plating standards before leaving the kitchen.
- Manage Inventory and Stock: Oversee ingredient usage, maintain accurate inventory records for your section, and ensure timely ordering and stock rotation to minimize waste and maintain cost efficiency.
- Enforce Safety and Hygiene Standards: Uphold strict food safety and sanitation practices, ensuring compliance with all health regulations and standards.
✔️ What We’re Looking For
- Extensive Culinary Experience: Proven track record as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a professional kitchen, preferably within a five-star hotel or luxury resort.
- Strong Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead a team, inspire junior staff, and ensure a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced culinary skills, with a deep understanding of cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and international cuisines.
- Exceptional Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a high-pressure environment.
