🔎 About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to join RIU Hotels & Resorts as a Chef De Partie specializing in Maldivian Cuisine. In this role, you will bring the rich and vibrant flavors of Maldivian cuisine to life, creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. You’ll utilize your culinary expertise and creativity to uphold RIU’s commitment to exceptional gastronomy while celebrating the culinary heritage of the Maldives.
💼 What You’ll Do
- Prepare, cook, and present authentic Maldivian dishes with precision, creativity, and flair.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality across all Maldivian specialty dishes and other international dishes at the Staff Kitchen.
- Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in all kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with the Sous Chef and other team members to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Interact with team members when required and get feedback. Especially during Ramadan prepare the food as per the requirements set by the hotel and pleasing dishes to the team members.
✔️ What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Chef De Partie or a similar role in a high-volume Staff Kitchen.
- Expertise in preparing traditional and modern Maldivian dishes, with a deep understanding of local ingredients and techniques.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to guide and inspire a diverse kitchen team.
- A passion for culinary innovation and delivering exceptional experiences.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, including food cost control and inventory management.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
- Attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented and adaptable, with a proactive and solution-driven mindset.
