🔎 About the Role
We are seeking passionate and skilled culinary professionals to join our team as Chef de Partie. Selected candidates will undergo a two-month intensive training program at RIU Sri Lanka, followed by a permanent placement in Mauritius. This is an excellent opportunity for chefs with ambition, creativity, and a commitment to culinary excellence.
💼 What You’ll Do
Leadership in the Kitchen: Manage a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to the high standards synonymous with RIU Hotels & Resorts.
Culinary Innovation: Prepare and present dishes that showcase impeccable quality and creativity, aligning with our commitment to five-star culinary artistry.
Menu Development: Collaborate with the Head Chef and team to enhance menu offerings using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
Mentorship: Supervise and develop junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
Quality Assurance: Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation while ensuring dishes are served promptly and meet RIU’s standards.
Inventory Management: Oversee stock levels, minimize waste, and ensure timely requisition of supplies for your section.
Hygiene & Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations within your section.
✔️ What We’re Looking For
Professional Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within a five-star hotel or luxury resort, particularly in high-volume, fine-dining environments.
Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of international cuisines, food preparation techniques, and an eye for culinary artistry.
Leadership Skills: Ability to manage, train, and inspire a team to achieve operational excellence.
Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, embracing challenges with creativity and resilience.
