Position: Accounting Executive

🔎 About the Role

As an Accounting Executive, you will play a key role in supporting the financial management of our cluster of hotels in Zanzibar. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of multiple properties within the RIU brand.

💼 What You’ll Do

• Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Record and maintain accurate accounting entries for assets, ensuring proper classification and depreciation schedules.
• Perform reconciliations for supplier accounts and identify discrepancies.
• Follow up with suppliers to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate invoicing.
• Support in preparing and maintaining financial records and reports.
• Assist in bank reconciliations and month-end closing activities.
• Ensure proper filing and organization of financial documents, including invoices and receipts.
• Contribute to the preparation of tax forms and compliance documentation.

✔️ What We’re Looking For

• Applicants must be citizens of Tanzania or Zanzibar to ensure alignment with local employment goals.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
• Experience in an accounting role is valued but not essential; training will be provided.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.

• Familiarity with Accounting Software is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
• Spoken and written English is an added advantage.
