🔎 About the Role
As a Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in delivering consistent, high-quality culinary experiences at RIU Jambo. Working within a large-scale, five-star resort operation, you will be responsible for managing your assigned kitchen section, supporting smooth service delivery, and upholding RIU’s international standards of excellence, hygiene, and presentation.
This role is ideal for a passionate culinary professional with strong experience in international cuisine and the discipline required to thrive in a high-volume hospitality environment.
💼 What You’ll Do
Section Management: Take full responsibility for your designated kitchen section, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation at all times.
International Cuisine Preparation: Prepare and present dishes from a wide range of international cuisines in line with RIU recipes and brand standards.
High-Volume Operations: Support daily buffet services, à la carte restaurants, and themed dining experiences in a fast-paced, large-scale resort setting.
Quality & Hygiene Standards: Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP regulations, ensuring a clean and compliant kitchen environment.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with Sous Chefs, the Executive Chef, and the wider kitchen team to ensure seamless service and operational efficiency.
Training & Support: Assist in guiding and supporting Commis Chefs, contributing to skill development, discipline, and teamwork within the kitchen.
Cost & Waste Control: Follow portion control, stock rotation, and waste reduction practices to support effective cost management.
✔️ What We’re Looking For
Professional Experience: Proven experience as a Chef de Partie , Demi Chef de Partie or Senior Commis Chef within a five-star hotel or luxury large-scale resort.
International Culinary Knowledge: Strong hands-on experience with international cuisine; exposure to buffet and high-volume operations is essential.
Operational Discipline: Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining RIU’s quality and consistency standards.
Food Safety Expertise: Solid understanding of hygiene standards, food safety regulations, and HACCP procedures.
Team-Focused Mindset: A reliable team player with good communication skills and a professional attitude.
Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required in a resort environment.
