🔎 About the Role

We are seeking a high-caliber Assistant Financial Controller to serve as a key pillar of our finance department. This role goes beyond daily bookkeeping; you will be responsible for safeguarding the resort’s assets, ensuring rigorous internal controls, and providing the financial insights necessary to drive profitability. You will mentor the accounting team and act as the right hand to the Financial Controller in a high-pressure, luxury hospitality environment.

🌟 What You’ll Do

• Financial Oversight: Manage the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including AP, AR, Income Audit, and Payroll, ensuring accuracy across all sub-ledgers.

• Tax & Compliance: Oversee the preparation of VAT, withholding tax, and corporate tax filings, ensuring 100% compliance with Thai tax laws.

• Reporting & Analysis: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, P&L reports, and variance analyses. You will translate numbers into actionable insights for department heads.

• Budgeting & Forecasting: Play a lead role in the annual budget process and monthly rolling forecasts, helping the resort stay on track with its financial goals.

• Internal Controls: Implement and monitor robust internal control systems to protect company assets and ensure compliance with RIU’s global standards and local Thai regulations.

• Cash Flow Management: Monitor daily cash flow, optimize working capital, and oversee treasury functions to ensure liquidity.

• Audit Coordination: Lead the preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is meticulous and transparent.

• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor the accounting staff, fostering a culture of professional growth and high performance.

✔️ What We’re Looking For

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required. A CPA, CMA, or MBA is highly preferred.

• Communication: Fluency in English is a must and Thai to effectively bridge communication between local teams and global corporate offices.

• Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably within a 5-star hotel or large-scale resort.

• Analytical : Advanced MS Excel skills (macros, complex modeling) and the ability to interpret complex financial data.

• Leadership : A proactive problem-solver who can lead a team through the intensity of month-end closes with calm and precision.

• Integrity: Uncompromising ethical standards and a deep understanding of P&L responsibility.
