Position: Assistant Front Office Manager
Department: Front Office
Location: RIU Palace Phuket, Mai Khao, Thailand
🔎 About the Role
As the Assistant Front Office Manager, you will support the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences and seamless service delivery. You will play a "hands-on" role in supervising the team, maintaining RIU Brand standards, and ensuring that the front-of-house runs efficiently. This role is vital during the pre-opening phase, requiring a proactive leader who can bridge the gap between management strategy and floor-level execution in Thailand's vibrant hospitality environment.
🌟 What You’ll Do
Operational Support: Assist in leading all Front Office sections, including Reception, Guest Services, Bell Services, and Guest Relations, ensuring all areas meet RIU’s 5-star standards.
Service Supervision: Maintain a strong presence in the lobby during peak hours to greet guests, manage flow, and ensure a warm, professional atmosphere.
Inventory & Coordination: Help manage room blocks, arrivals/departures, and VIP amenities, working closely with Housekeeping and Engineering to ensure room readiness.
Issue Resolution: Act as the first point of escalation for guest concerns, providing empathetic and efficient resolutions to maintain high satisfaction scores.
Team Supervision: Assist in supervising, scheduling, and mentoring a large, diverse team, ensuring discipline and a positive work culture.
Pre-Opening Execution: Support the FOM in implementing operational procedures and conducting intensive staff training prior to the resort launch.
✔️ What We’re Looking For
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Front Office operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or Assistant Manager role within a 4 or 5-star hotel or resort.
Skills: Strong supervisory and organizational skills. You should be a "people person" with a knack for problem-solving and the ability to motivate a multicultural team under pressure.
Education/Certifications: Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and familiarity with Hotel Management Systems (PMS).
Other Requirements: Strong command of English (spoken and written) and Thai are a must.
💎 What You’ll Get
Attractive Remuneration Package and Bonuses: Competitive salary and incentives.
Access to Company Healthcare: Eligibility healthcare insurance
Efficient Staff Transport: Convenient transport facilities for all employees and/or Management staff accommodation.
Nutritive Meals While on Duty: Well-balanced, nutritious meals provided.
Special Discounts: Exclusive discounts at RIU Hotels & Resorts worldwide.

About RIU Hotels & Resorts Asia Africa
Riu is the surname of the family that founded the business in Mallorca, Spain, back in 1953 when they purchased a small hotel in Playa de Palma. Here they forged a customer-focused service philosophy and a way of doing business based on honesty and hard work. Our vocation has been passed down through the generations, and that is why family values still play an important role at RIU today.
