🔎 About the Role
As the Income Controller, you will play a crucial role in our team. The primary purpose of the Income Controller is to provide independent verification, oversight, and auditing of all daily financial movements, cash balances, and revenue streams of the hotel to ensure strict alignment with established administrative norms. By meticulously cross-examining transaction data within the PMS system against physical operations, conducting surprise cash counts, and reporting systemic anomalies directly to corporate leadership, this role acts as a critical line of defense in safeguarding hotel assets, mitigating fraud, and minimizing operational errors.
🌟 What You’ll Do
Daily Reconciliation: Reconcile daily authorized cash balances, bank deposits, foreign exchange transactions, and credit card slips against system records to ensure financial alignment.
Production, Discount, and System Income Auditing: Review all room upgrades, meal supplements, discounts, and folio modifications within the PMS system to verify proper approval and documentation.
Discrepancy Investigation : Cross-examine Front Desk records with Housekeeping reports and file evidence of any major administrative anomalies or potential fraud for senior management review.
Audits: Conduct surprise cash counts and inventory audits at least three times a month for shift cashiers, main cashiers, and all alternative points of sale.
Financial Reporting & Management Communication: Prepare a daily operational evaluation for regional managers and collaborate on periodic reports to analyze the financial standing of the property.
Database Maintenance & Front Desk Training Support: Manage PMS database pricing configurations, monitor system user security permissions, and provide procedural training to Front Desk staff to minimize errors.
✔️ What We’re Looking For
Experience: Possess a solid background in hotel accounting, night auditing, or front office operations with a firm understanding of daily closing workflows.
Property Management System (PMS) Proficiency: Demonstrate the capability to efficiently navigate and master specialized hospitality property management systems software.
Sharp Analytical & Investigative Skills: Maintain an exceptional attention to detail to identify systemic errors, trace revenue discrepancies, and audit complex occupancy listings.
Absolute Integrity & Discretion: Uphold strict ethical and professional standards required to handle sensitive financial data and execute independent, unannounced cash audits.
Independent Organization & Adaptability: Efficiently manage and prioritize daily auditing workflows across up to three hotel properties simultaneously while adapting to specialized audit requests.
Communication: Strong command of English (spoken and written) & Thai is essential for effective communication with both guests and the local team.
